1. How long have you been a member of SPENGA?

 

Since March 2019

 

2.  What do you love about SPENGA?

 

SPENGA is a "come as you are" studio. The trainers, the members, the routines will meet you where you are in your journey. No one and nothing is intimidating or "too hard". Level up as you go.  The song "Started from the Bottom" by Drake comes to mind as I remember where I started in my journey and where I am at today.

 

3. What initially drew you to SPENGA?  

 

The green "E" ... to me it screams a frequency that we all need in our lives. Connection. Community. Balance.  And my oldest and dearest friend of 40 years (omg) telling me, let's go together.

 

4. How has SPENGA impacted you outside of the studio?

 

SPENGA gives me strength. We all need to channel energy from something.  I get mine from my workouts. And that strength allows me to give energy to my Love, my Family & my Friends, my career and my dreams.  You cannot pour from an empty cup.

 

5. Describe how the SPENGA WERKOUT makes you feel?

 

I feel grace.  I feel fierce.  I feel challenged.  I feel strong.

 

6. What is your favorite local restaurant?

 

Dancing Marlin' in Frankfort.

 

7. What is your favorite healthy meal or cocktail?

 

I love wine.  I love french fries.  I love chocolate and gummy bears. Moderation is key.  Anything can be healthy in moderation.  

 

8. Best piece of advice you can give to someone just starting out their fitness journey.

 

Life is about choices. Something or someone is going to light a fire in you. Give it oxygen and let it burn. Fan those flames.  Let the fire fuel you. Everything you want is on the other side of fear.  Go for it.  The safest and surest bet is on you.  And, eat the french fries.  Life is too short to be anything but happy.
