How long have you been at SPENGA or instructing at SPENGA?

 

I was a member for nine months before becoming an instructor. I have been instructing for four years.

 

What do you love about WERKING at SPENGA?  

 

SPENGA has brought such a light into my life and brings out the best in me! I fell in love with the community, atmosphere, music and the euphoric feeling after each session!

 

What is your favorite format to teach?

 

Wow! That’s hard to answer! It’s a toss up between spin and strength. Not that I do not love yoga, because I do, but something about that adrenaline rush of feeling strong with some great beats playing makes me feel powerful.

 

What is your favorite memory WERKING at SPENGA?

 

Unfortunately, I cannot pinpoint just one. But I will say the friendships and family that I have created will stay with me forever.

 

What made you get involved in fitness or instructing?

 

I got involved with fitness because I was losing the battle with gravity (if you know what I mean, lol). Then I realized that I wanted to lead and inspire others to feel the same way and bring out the most positive and optimistic energy that Spenga brought out in me.

 

Where can we find you out when you are not at SPENGA?

 

I love to spend time lounging with my family at home when we have the chance but with three very active children those times are rare. Typically, we’re at soccer games or on the golf course.

 

What is your favorite restaurant in Mokena/Frankfort/New Lenox?  

 

The last few times I have gone out for dinner was at The Wine Thief in downtown Frankfort

 

What is your fav go to snack/meal after a SPENGA workout and where can we find it?

 

My go to snack would be almonds or I’ll make some scrambled eggs with spinach and of course accompanied with black coffee. When I want to treat myself, I will pick up coffee from Starbucks in Mokena on La Grange before teaching.
