How long have you been at SPENGA or instructing at SPENGA?
I was in search of a community fitness experience and found myself at my first SPENGA session on March 9, 2022…and was instantly HOOKED. Immediately becoming an unlimited member, I loved the satisfaction of pushing my sweet spot higher and higher with each passing week.
In October 2022 I grew my love for SPENGA even more by going through the Instructor Training and instructed my first SPENGA Session November 7, 2022.
What is your favorite part about WERKING at SPENGA?
The best part about WERKING at SPENGA is the Crew! Members and staff combine to make the most positive, healthy, and inspiring environment I have ever had the privilege of being a part of.
What is your favorite format to teach?
It is hard to pick just one favorite format, but I would have to choose BOXING. I love the 4 minutes of continuous WERK, going at your own pace to get the best reps in for your fitness goals, and getting new exercises each round.
What made you get involved in fitness or instructing?
Growing up I always had a passion for fitness, but in the usual kid/teen way – lots of sports, not a lot of education on how to have a well-rounded healthy lifestyle. As I got older, I took it upon myself to learn what it really meant to be healthy. The more I invested to further my knowledge of weightlifting, nutritious foods, and the cognitive benefits of exercise, the more empowered I felt to live my life with the mindset that fitness is freedom.
Instructing felt like a natural fit as I always loved leading my competitive teams to new goals. Now at SPENGA I get to continue that passion by bringing positive energy and guidance to an amazing community of people looking to further their healthy lifestyle.
Where can we find you when you are not at SPENGA?
Outside of SPENGA I can be easily found…if you are one of my F’s: Fiancé, Family, or Friend. In all seriousness I feel the happiest spending time with the people I love. Playing pool at Frankfort Bowl with my Fiancé, going to dinner at Rocco’s with my Mom, catching up with my Best Girlfriends while pretending to watch a movie… one-on-one time has a special place in my heart.
What is your fav go to snack/meal after a SPENGA werkout?
I go all out after a SPENGA WERKOUT! I always am a sweaty mess after (who isn’t?!), so I like to shower before I cook a full meal. However, before showering I’ll quickly make my favorite snack: I microwave some peanut butter, spread it on 2 rice cakes, slice banana on top, and drizzle with lots of honey! I love the crunch of the rice cake with the best combo of PB, B&H.
What song get’s you hyped?
If I am being 100% honest… “Believe” by Cher will instantly put me in a good mood and make me want to move my body!
